Carol Stone - Director
I am thrilled to be director at LPS. The staff, children, and families are wonderful!!
I have over 25 years of experience working with children from infancy to age 7. I have a BA in Elementary and Special Education from Boston College and a M.ED in Curriculum and Instruction from Fordham University. I hold a Master Teacher- Level 3 credential and an Administration- Level 1 credential from the State of New Hampshire.
I volunteer for Child Aware in Nashua and am on the advisory panel for the National Association of the Education of Young Children publications and website. I have presented at several workshops for other teachers. I know that children learn best through play and with appropriate modeling. The teaching and learning that take place at LPS is based on this, and is always developmentally appropriate.
Elizabeth Seaver - Lead Teacher, 4 year old program and Movement Teacher
I have a BS in Interdisciplinary: Elementary Education, Early Childhood and Child Development from Plymouth State University. I am credentialed by the State of New Hampshire as a Master Level 2 Teacher. I have 20+ years of experience of working with children from the age of 2-5.
Prior to joining LPS I taught in both Merrimack and Amherst. I am very active in the Merrimack community whether it is coaching baseball, volunteering my time for my children’s schools or watching my sons play sports. I believe that children learn through play and being hands on. I enjoy process art and writing stories with the children.
Christine Reed - Co-Teacher, 2 and 3 year old programs
I have been working at Little Pilgrim Preschool since 2005 when I started as a teaching assistant in the 2 year old program. The learning bug caught me, and I have an Early Childhood Education certificate from Nashua Community College.
I absolutely love being a preschool teacher! I enjoy everything about it, but would have to say circle time is my favorite. Singing songs, adding a little yoga into it, and having a group discussion about the topic of the week are wonderful. I really get to connect with the children while they are in a relaxed and focused atmosphere.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and just being busy with all life has to offer.
Jamie Farrell - Co-Teacher, 2 and 3 year old programs
I am so happy to be working with the children at LPS. I have 12 years experience working with children from 6 weeks to age 5. I started my Early Childhood Education at Nashoba Valley Technical High School in the Preschool Education Program. From there, I have worked in Chelmsford, MA and San Diego, CA for a total of 8 years for Kindercare Learning Center. I went to Lowell Middlesex College for a few other classes in Early Childhood. In all the ages that I have worked with, I have to say ages 2-4 years old is my favorite ages. There are so many different ways for children to learn, but my favorite part is through art projects and being hands on. Children learn new things everyday and I love being apart of that and watching them grow with each step of the way.
My family is an outdoor family. We love camping, snowmobiling, kayaking, hiking, swimming and playing with our two dogs.
